OVERVIEW

This complex project requires a hybrid-P2P networking engine (API) to be built as a replacement of the existing network engine. The API will be used to create the underlying network topology of the i3d Platform over the LAN and Internet. This network engine adheres to i3d platform specifications and handles client and server requests within the LAN and Internet. There are major functionalities which are further subdivided into successive unit modules for reusability and scalability.

OBJECTIVES
    • Client Connection Request
    • Server Connection Accept and Reject
    • Metadata Transfer
    • Independent Server – Server Communication
    • Polling logically linked server availability
    • Exchanging Metadata within servers
    • Client - Peers Communication - Tracking peer information and peer selection
