The purpose of the project is to define, build and deploy a demonstration application which will have the capabilities to receive a request from the aggregator Informatel as a result of an SMS request received from the user. This information is used by the system to provide a map of the user’s current location or a specified location, using Whereis API. The response is forwarded to the aggregator Informatel and an MMS is sent by the aggregator Informatel to the user.

The mandatory objectives of the system are:

• To define, build and deploy a demonstration application that allows mobile phone users to SMS a number that responds with a map via MMS of the specified location.
• To deliver a prototype that could be the basis of a simple service leveraging the MO (Mobile Originated) and MT (Mobile Terminated) capabilities of an SMS aggregator service such as Informatel.
