  City Of Melbourne: Melbourne Electronic Transportation System

The Mobile Electronic Transport Information (METI) will enable vision impaired individuals to better use public transport easily and independently by providing stop and timetable information for multiple modes of a transport to a mobile phone. The METI application provides innovation for Melbourne's public transport system through the use of GPS and access to real time public transport data. The METI team was formed as a part of Committe for Melbourne's intensive, two year leadership development program, Future Focus Group. The aim of the Future Focus Group is to test the leadership skills and commitment of Melbourne's future corporate and community leaders. Commitee for Melbourne membership is comprised of CEOs from 170 organisations which are drawn from the city's major companies, academic institutions and civic organisations.

Vast Park: HTML to 3D Converter

The project aim is to create a plug-in for Vast Park which eases the transition for companies who wish to create 3D Interfaces for their normal HTML based websites. This Plugin is basically an IMML (Interactive Media Markup Language) to HTML conversion library. This will enable the user to convert a plain web page into a 3D virtual space.

GTS Interactive: Mobile CMS

GTS dView Mobisite Builder is a user-oriented and fully managed mobile website builder solution. It is a highly graphical, menu driven and intuitive solution that provides a cost effective and fully automated solution for building a mobile website.

IBM:SMAP2

This project team aims to develop a system that will increase the effectiveness of data collection, such as health surveys, by an NGO in developing countries and other locations where map data is sparse or inaccurate. All data collected is geo-referenced with latitude and longitude. This is an application of location based services and mobile computing that is currently the focus of very large investments from information system services such as Google, Microsoft and Nokia This project aims to boost the creation of market for location based services along with supporting IT services in emerging economies.

Informatic Technologies

The main objective of the “to be built” system is to provide customers with a complete package through which they can view the whole system and easily adapt it to their personal preferences. The project will provide customers with a web enabled interface directly connected to the database. This application will therefore run on any web browser and platform, a feature that the current application does not support (the current software is a desktop application and runs on Windows platform only).

Finexium Pty Ltd:
The team’s aim is to build an independent, online platform that brings borrowers and lenders together in the Australian corporate credit market. The platform will provide  lenders with cost effective access and improved distribution capability to the corporate loan market and an increased levels of competition, thus ensuring that borrowers receive the cheapest rate of funding.   More

GTS Interactive:
There are two complementary projects for GTS Interactive – iTravel and iPay. Consumer demand for wireless data services is accelerating rapidly throughout the world and the products  resulting from these projects contribute to the suite of mobile applications now offered by GTS.  More

iComm Mobility:
This project involves the development of a GIS Plug-in, to be incorporated with the existing Bhive scheduling system used by I-COMM. The system will overlay the scheduled jobs and field staff on geospatial maps and provide rich user interface to allocate jobs to field staff  More

Bankology.com: CredCap
This purpose of this project is to create a Rule Based Engine implementation of BASEL I and some BASEL II Standards. Basel II is a framework of rules for calculating the capital adequacy of international banks.  More

IBM
This project will aim to develop a system that will increase the effectiveness of data collection by World Vision in developing countries and other locations where map data is sparse or inaccurate. developing an integrated system for the Application Registration and Maintenance processes in the City’s IT department by re-designing and extending the existing system’s functionality and migrating the data from the old to the enhanced system.  More

EIN: i3d Social ID Management System
This project involves the development of a Social Identity Management System that would enable users to seamlessly move across various servers without having to authenticate themselves at every member site’s server.  More

Informatic Technologies for the City Of Geelong: TecBiz
The requirement is to design and develop an Online Gym Management System from scratch that would provide an efficient way to create, assess and manage fitness programs online, both for the City of Geelong’s Gym staff and Gym users.  More

GTS Interactive: iFind
iFind is a location based service that enables instant location of family, friends and workmates by phone or any internet capable device. iFind displays a map or text information identifying the location of the individual/s on the mobile or internet device..  More

Austock: ITIL Framework
As a significant part of the Austock Group limited, Austock IT needs to have a solid infrastructure to provide an excellent Service Support and Service Delivery to the other businesses within the Austock Group Limited. In order to do that, Austock IT is aligning its processes and procedures to the ITIL standard.  More

Department of Primary Industries (DPI): Ready Pest
The purpose of this system is to provide farmers with accurate and timely information about possible pest outbreaks and appropriate use of pesticides to curb these outbreaks based on data held for their specific farms and crops.  More

EIN: Peer 2 Peer Networking Engine
This complex project requires a hybrid-P2P networking engine (API) to be built as a replacement of the existing network engine. The API will be used to create the underlying network topology of the i3d Platform over the LAN and Internet. This network engine adheres to i3d platform specifications and handles client and server requests within the LAN and Internet. There are major functionalities which are further subdivided into successive unit modules for reusability and scalability.  More

IBM: Web Service
This project team developed the ‘Proof of Concept’ for an IBM innovation that is subject to an Invention Non Disclosure Agreement. The project objectives were met to the satisfaction of IBM.  More

Nab: Disaster and Recovery Management Tool
The project team is to design and built a stand alone disaster recovery management tool with a common console for all DR and Business Continuity staff to access during test and actual DR exercises. It includes on line functionality and current and historical management reports.  More

Sensis: Wheris Steps
The project team is to develop a system that implements one of the innovative concepts of R & D team at Sensis. Primarily, an application needs to be developed which will calculate the number of foot-steps required for a user to walk from a source to a destination and then calculate the number of calories burnt while traversing the route. The application to be developed shall use the existing tool Whereis®.  More

Agilent: PROMETHEUS : eNews & Metrics Generator.
The aim of eNews & Metrics Generator is to provide a newsletter maintenance and distribution tool which can accelerate the efficiency of the newsletters' delivery mechanism for thousands of Agilent’s customers. Further it provides the tool by which the Management can generate various reports on the basis of the clicks made on the newsletter.  More

DPI: ADNANUARA - Water SMS
The purpose of ADNANUARA is to design and build a software system to automate the process of informing farmers of the amount of irrigation needed daily. The core of the proposed project is to create a set of software tools to collect environment data from probes, analyse the data to determine irrigation information for the farmers, and make the processed data available to farmers.   More

SENSIS: SWIPE
SWIPE is about developing a web-based application that allows customers to personalize their interests and get the requested services back on their mobile devices. The engine focuses on providing personalised subscription based services. The output will be SMS on users’ mobile devices.   More

Agilent: e-FAQ
The aim of this project was to enhance the features of the existing e-FAQ tool and reduce the amount of manual interaction involved in this process to increase overall productivity.  More

Austock: Intranet and CRM solutions
The project created an intranet for all Austock users to access Flowbiz (CRM). This included configuration and ad-on coding. The first phase of this project was to establish the longer term requirements and develop the interfaces and common requirements of the various divisions.  More

Sensis: SMS MAP ME
The SMS Map Me project was to define, build and deploy a demonstration application that allows a mobile phone user to SMS a number that responds with a map via MMS of their current location.  More
